The Reunion between Theatre Machine and Keith Johnstone's turned out to be his last visit to the Royal Court Theatre. It was a poignant occasion all of us. Keith had been a huge influence not only personally for so many people but on the world of improvisation and theatre. The discovered he made with the writer group at the Royal Court inspired an extraordinary generation of writers. See Jon's blog The Reunion about the reunion and how it triggered the beginnings of Play in the Moment.
INTRODUCING PLAY IN THE MOMENT TO RODDY MAUDE ROXBY & ANDY HARMON 2025
Six years on from the Reunion with Keith Johnstone a long anticipated day with Roddy Maude Roxby to share where we are with Play in the Moment. Andy Harmon who has been filming and documenting Roddy for a number of years was over here from US joined us and filmed the session. This is our film from a static iPad so has its flaws; it does however give a good sense of the day. In this first film Jon explains the opening beat of play in the moment and general principles.
